Per the title. I have new tires/wheels from Late Model Resto coming on Monday (GRRRR, hoped for Friday) and need to know what tire pressures you guys are running based on these sizes and the fact that they are cheap tires (base Sumitomo's).

I guess the other part of this is what else is needed to fit these massive (to me) tires/wheels... remove quad shocks??

Thanks...

MMMMM, deep dish FR500s..... :D

My 1994 GT had the stock Tri-Bars on it when I bought it with the stock 245/45R17 tires. The door tag and owners manual said to run both front and rear tires at 30psi.

I kept the tires at the 30psi and noticed that when I was going to a different wheel and tire combo, the front tires were worn on the outside (indicating under-inflation) and the rear tires were worn on the inside (indicating over-inflation). Given the weight distribution of our cars, I wasn't over surprised. I don't think that rotating the tires more frequently is an appropriate solution (especially for guys who stagger tire size).

I run 275/40R17's all around now on 17x9" wheels. I run the fronts at 32psi and the rears at 28psi and they wear nice and evenly.
