Looks great. Can we see pics of the rest of the 'bay?

Sure in a few days, Im not done yet. The bottom is completely stripped to bare aluminum, everywhere including bottome end bends, the square part that connects tubes, even the welded parts which holds the tubes. i used aircarft stripper to go all the way down to bare. You can see all the welds, marks and all-pretty cool stuff. im very anal about my polishing-It will be polished even undereneath-When i get finished. i will post pics-When im done, My fingers need a break. hahahaha you cannot get any power tools in the crevices which leaves it to your fingers-So its real personal on the craftsmanship apsect of polsihing this badboy!

What method did you end up using to remove the paint Monte? Did the over cleaner work for you?

Looking good on the polishing process. I know it seems sometimes like you will never finish, but it is well worth the effort in the end. Keep up the good work :nice:

Thanks man,
To be honest with you, i didnt even need the scotchbrite pads, I used EASTWOODS paint remover/aircraft stripper and it came off like butter, actually flaked right off without rubbing. rigt down tot he bare aluminum-Even everywhere underneath. Then i started the sanding. Pretty much it. The pics are without appying White rouge yet. Thanks for the kind words, appreciate them

Probably some mothers straight 100% carnuaba wax always kept my polished parts in good shape for the most part. the car is only a weekend driver, sits in an indoor garage and never see's bad weather. But-Yeah-Its a PUITA to maintain, What do you uise as a sealer?

Thansk Ant

Looks real good thus far, you going to seal it with anything? Id imagine itd be a PITA to maintain otherwise.

nice. i use nothing as a sealant personally. any i've tried yellow/dull. wax might be a good idea, like wheel wax or something like that. if you try that let me know! :)

Looks great, especially the tubes :nice:
