hot start issue?

Same problem here.

Most of the times when that happens I usually have to give it a little gas while its cranking over before it will fire.

Havn't tried to track it down, it doesn't bother me too much.

You guys are funny. Not to belittle you at all but way back when, cars didn't always start on the 1st try...sometimes even the 3rd or 4th. Ever try starting a 78 Mustang on a cold morning? Might be there 30 minutes. :rlaugh: If someone looks at you funny or you feel like a retard if the car doesn't start on the 1st try...well...give it to me. I'm not vain at all.

Unless you have to try several times and it doesn't kick over at all I would worry zero.

I was just about to say that. It always happens when there are people around and I look like a retard when it doesnt start and I have to re try it.

Hahahha!

My 2003 does the same thing and yes, it always seems to fail when people are around.
It seems to be a common Mustang quirk.

What I do for hot starts is turn the key to on but don't crank.
Leave it like that while you put on your seat belt, adjust the mirror etc.
Don't touch the gas pedal BTW.

Then, crank the car and it will start almost every time even when hot.

It works for my car anyway.
