If i want to remove my spoiler and give my mustang a clean look, how do i fill in the holes? Is there even a way or I pretty much have to get a new trunk piece?

^^thats a lie. all you need is some of those black plastic push pins like for trunk carpet or sumthing, they're used for alot of different stuff but you can pik some up from advanced for like 2 bucks. they look just fine untill you get the extra cash for the *right* way but thats how mine is done and you cant even tell w/o being right up on it. Thanks!

$200+ dollars seems pretty pricey to fill in a few holes.

I like the alternative more, what push pins are you talking about? How do you keep it water tight?

u can get them at those places or lowes or home depot, but it doesnt look good trust me, even on my black car with those black taps it looked soo bad you could see the pins from 15ft away, what color is the car anyway? you may be able to find a guy with a v6 who wants a spoiler and just trade our the trumklids and u get one with no holes

ive had more compliments than hates on my wing being off even tho i do have the pins. but theres a bullit at the junk yard thats wrecked taht i might end up gettin the trunk lid off of and painting when i get the extra cash. it looks better w/o it dude ;) go for it

Not sure if this works, but i was thinking about getting a flat screw top and just use it to fill the holes. Will this work at all? I do have paint to paint over the screw. Or would that simply look ghetto?

I like the idea of the nylon plugs from ACE hardware.

Does anyone know what size are the holes that is holding the stock spoiler on to the trunk lid for a 2002 Mustang GT. Also, how many holes are there?

you prbly just need to take it off and look, the sizes on mine were actually different when i bought plugs i had to grab two sizes, u might just take the old spoiler off and see also how the paint is under it, cause mine left outlines of where the spoiler was pressing on the decklid like small scuff that wouldnt buff out when i tried, takes 3 minutes to remove spoiler so just give it a shot this weekend

i have an 03 gt and it has 2 holes on each side and the ones in the back are a little bigger from what i remember. when i get a chance ill take a pic and let you see what mine looks like to see if you wanna go with what i got. it really dont look ghetto but it looks alot better w/o the wing *i think*.

Im not sure if you are savy with doing body work but you could cover the holes on the inside with fiberglass, then apply bondo to the outside to fill the holes and sand smooth. you would have to have the trunk lid repainted but that is kind of the cost you are looking at removing the spoiler. Good luck luck with your project.
