Badass craigslist find!

Wow, a lot of hatred for this car. I agree a tubbed backhalf is overkill unless your running 6 or 7s, but I'm sure it was done a lot for looks. That car with a big block, and a loud blower would be pretty badass...

Sure there are better ways to build a drag car, but it has the potential to be something fast!

I wouldn't say i was hating on it...The only reason a person could make sense of that on a vert is for looks. If you're building a crazy show car with a huge roots blower, sure go for it, but for practicality it's just not necessary anymore. People are going 7s with mini-tubbed rear ends with aftermarket stock replacement rear end parts on drag radials...the days of tubbing are over unless you're talking about a serious purpose built racecar, and who would do that with a vert? Sorry i guess i'm just different

The only bad ass "Back half" vert worthy of this thread IMO....

I may have got my driver mixed up but didn't Stormin Norman race a vert as well? I'm almost certain that the coupe he was known for driving was originally a vert and he cut the roof and converted it.

I'll hate on it... All show no go = Teh gheyest. First of all... WHY? Sportsmans? For real? What's a 4 point cage cert. for in a vert? 14s? Looks like Tony's backyard golf course race shop did a good job with that rear suspension, all the weight's already transfered to the right rear. ****, throw a tubular k-member in it and you'd have yourself an Outlaw car. Yes, it has a stout rearend, that's way too narrow to put a halfway normal size tire on it. This car makes me want to kick babies. Where's the neon sign that says I have a small dick?
