I have an issue with the front end clunking over bumps. Mostly coming from the right side. Passengers can feel in their feet. Jacked the car up and checked some items over but found nothing. Took it to the dealer only to find out I was 6 days out of warranty and wanted blood just to look at it. My question is I've read a few threads on rattling but most were the vent. Has anyone come across front end clunk?

Possibly strut mounts, usually only happens on 2005 MY cars though. It's possible ball joints are bad. How many miles are on the car?

Just turned 22,000 miles. I traded my buddy for the car and he said it started at 9,000 miles.

I will check out the strut mounts since that is the concensus. Can someone post a link for the FR500 ones?

Does the car have lowering springs? It's so hard to diagnose noises and clunks online. It's GT500 strut mounts, not the FR500 mounts. Any Ford dealer can get them for you or you can order them online at a OEM parts supplier.

Nope, car is stock other than mods in my sig. (which is pretty much nothing). All I know it's driving my nuts. Car is mint and never been wrecked or anything. It is mostly coming from the front passenger side. Feels like down low but its hard to tell really. Seems to be getting worse each day.

Same problem here with strut mounts - replaced with oem and then replaced AGAIN with steeda heavy duty - problem solved

Check also the A-arms for cracks on the stamped steel
And tighten the front swaybar

these last two are maybe a bit extreme , but don't underestimate a clunk .

Just my 02

Can I come? :hail2:

Sure. When I had the 94GT we did an engine swap party (347 Crate). Several Stagnetters showed up to work. I supplied all the beer and food. It was a regular thing after that. We all helped each other.

I checked around the font end yesterday. The sway bar end links are one long rod with bushings on each end. I can move that rod with my finger tip. I am use to my 94 where I changed every suspension part it had. Totally different set up on the 06. No caster/camber plate on this car either (well at least from the top strut tower). I have yet to look at the frame mount area where the front sway bar goes through.
