i know this is a mustang forum but id rather as for help here.... i happened upon an 88 t-bird turbo coupe automatic... im converting it to a 5 speed. from what ive read its easier to replace the petals with the dash out. need some info on removeing the dash... ive removed my 89 stang gt dash plenty of times but never a t-bird dash. any help would b appreciated

You don't have to completely remove the dash. There's only 7-8 bolts that hold it in. Unbolt what you can and simply pull it away from the bulkhead for more working room. You definitely need to remove the steering column altogether. It's not that difficult. Alot of guys have done this swap. Do a search over on www.turbotbird.com and you'll come up with all kinds of info.
