Has any one had this problem with there 01 and if so can you tell me what you did to fix the problem. My car is missing, well it feels like it's missing to me. A shop put it on there machine and said it was the spark plugs, they changed the plugs and boots and I drove it and it was still missing. Then they said the miss was coming from number 6 cylinger, so they took the coil off of 6 and put it on 3 and 6 still made the same error so they then said well the coil is fine since the error didn't follow the coil to number 3. The car was still missing. So they tried moved the coil again and this time they say the error followed the coil, so they replaced the coil but the car is still missing. They checked injectors and that's not it, no compression problems but still there's a miss even thou there machine shows no miss. Any sugestions?

The car is an 01 4.6 Mustang GT

Buy a coil pack at Autozone for $40 and swap it out until the miss goes away.

When my coil pack went was missing it did not set off any codes. It also ohmed out good. There was no possible way to tell it was bad without replacing it.

If it's not the coil pack you can always return the coil pack and get your money back.
