what intake manifold to go with?

I'm running the RPM Air Gap with Holley Street Avenger 670cfm carb with AFR 185 heads on my 347. I cannot compare it to a Vic Jr because I never used one, but I have great power throughout the RPM range. Advantage of the Air Gap is supposed to give a cooler fuel charge because the plenum sits above the block and doesn't have the same heat transfer characteristics. I have hear good things about the Vic Jr. I suggest reviewing the specs for each as I'm sure they have different specs producing distinct advantages, so depends on what your engine goals are and how you plan to drive.

the vic jr is also an air gap. It is a higher rise manifold, therefore its a higher RPM engine. The HP and torque curves will be at higher RPMs. It will also lose some signal to the carb, this may lead to some difference in street driving.

so decide what you want from ur car and motor. i picked up about 25 hp switching to the vic jr from the weiend high rise dual plane. that was just a set of the pants test tho. HAHA.

good luck with your desicion. edelbrock is a great company, made in AMERICA.
