I'm gonna quote one of my friends here and say...........

"Just becasue you can go to Walmart & buy a 1000 piece jig-saw puzzle doesn't mean that you can put it together."

This car is soo hacked-up its not even funny. You seemed like you were doing a good job in the beggining but the longer the project went the more short-cuts you took, and the worse things started to get.........

Good luck with the rest of the car................:)

The only shortcuts i have made are:
Headers
Oil Pan

Which are only temporally until we get the car started. But thanks for the support anyway.

This is a bit harsh man. :nonono: I agree that it's too bad the headers had to work out as they did, but otherwise everything came out pretty sweet.

Looks like somebody banged his girl and then pissed in his cereal before leaving. Way to **** on someone's thread, dumbass.

Just got off the phone with George at accufab.

$509 for headers $16 for 02 bungs. $30-35 shipping.

Im currently accepting donations lol:rlaugh:

I need to pay my security deposit and first months rent at the new place... i guess ill try to start saving...

Right. This is a budget build thread. Accufab is out in my o.

Yea obviously they are out right now. But unless there is a deadline where the car has to be done, u can take the cost of the headers that were purchased, subtract that from the cost of the Accufab headers and IMO thats not that much extra for a custom set of headers that are going to fit like a glove.

Its just bad advice to say "i didnt have $1500 for custom headers" in a thread like this. It doesnt take $1500. And seeing as accufab is towards the bottom of the $$$$$ chain for cost, i'd say they are "budget" custom headers lol :D

But seriously, i wasnt trying to convince him to make a different move now, i just wanted people to know there was an option that wasnt $1500. I know a lot of guys do "budget builds" and say "well to not worry about the headache of 351w headers, im just gonna buy the bbk's new" and those are a what, $350?

Just dont want a guy to come 6 months later, find this thread, and take that $1500 as gospel. George over at Accufab has a great product with a phenominal price. A lot of people arent aware of that option either...

550 bucks for a set of custom headers that fit is actually not a bad price at all. you coulda recouped most of that back had you not destroyed the headers you have now. im looking to get a set of longtubes and would have purchased your headers if you hadnt beaten them to death. but its too late now.

the needles is a neat idea btw. i really dig the wiring mods you made. the engine compartment looks fantastic btw. great work overall.

Accufab is first class and George is a great guy. I am sure Adam will be happy working with him at the next stage. Right now he is just trying to get it on the road guys. the headers can be easily fixed good as new.
