Are underdrive pulleys worth it?

yeah

they are worth it, I had some on my old v6 stang, you can surely tell a difference, now i don't think steeda pulleys are worth it unless you get a good deal on some because you are mostly paying for the name, you can get the same thing out of some ebay pulleys imo for a lot cheaper.

Easy to install, just make sure you get a 3-bolt puller, torque wrench and breaker bar. Make sure to follow the torquing procedure, too, or else you'll throw some misfire codes.

Worth it imo. Some HP gains, plus mpg gains. If you're staying N/A, definitely worth it.

looks easy enough, i need to get some pullies for my 97 my crank pulley wobbles slightly

so steeda is the only manufacturer that doesnt have the piggy back design?

EDIT: because ebay has these awesome laser red looking ones to match my laser red/pink 97 lol. the only thing is that they are the piggy back design which was mentioned above is bad for something

They are good to compliment the rest of the bolt on mods.I left them as a last resort.
Make sure you do goe with the Steedas.Something about being SFI approved. :nice:
The AM vid is good. It's pretty straight forward.Just make sure you pay close attention when torquing the harmonic balancer bolt down.I would actually invest in a new bolt from ARP,that is what i did.The stock one is supposedly a one time deal, and has know to snap after a few uses.

It's a simple install, I wouldn't give anybody $100 to install those. The dampner might look intimidating because you have to use the tool, but it's fail proof. It will come right off and go right back on. The alternator and water pump pulley are even easier. Keep your old pullies tho.

I hate to be the nay sayer, but I am a frequent member of another forum for focus' called focusfanatics. There is a guy on there that has more experience with all around cars of any nature than most that I know, he goes by turbo tom. He took a stock 5.0 at HIS dyno and dynoed it. Then, took the accessory drive belt COMPLETELY off for a pull and guess what he gained? just shy of 2 HP to the wheels with dyno sheets to prove it.

That being said, Ive had 4 pair on everything from my 4 pot focus, six banger stang DD, and my GT's but the proof is in the pudding. I would say save your 300 bucks.
