not 100 percent sure but im gonna say no. V8s are 28 and 31 spline. Not sure what 6cyl is but 8 and 9 inch have a 3rd member that comes out. 6cyl dont

alright, thanks for clearing that up. now i'm leaning towards pulling my shafts and having them filled and redrilled for 5 lug. all i'm looking to do is run 5 lug wheels, is this a safe way to do it? i'm going with discbrakeswap.com front 5 lug swap. also, the pattern i want is 5x4.5 correct?

thanks

if you want to change the lug number then just buy an 8 or 9 inch. your getting way better value cause they are stronger probably cheaper than redoing just the axles to fit your 6cyl and you dont need to do any axle swapping. 5x4.5 is the size you want.

They are 24 spline.

i was thinking 25 spline, but either way you are right, they are smaller than the 8" axles.

you can redrill the axles, and the drums, to a 5x4.5 bolt pattern, but why go through all that when you can grab an 8" rear end from a granada, or find someone in your area that has swapped a 9" into their stang, and pick up the rear end for about the same money as you would spend redrilling the axle flanges and drums, and you get a stronger rear end to boot.
