About 6 years ago, i was at a local ford dealer picking up our F-350 king ranch. I took a walk around looking at trucks and such. I stumbled across a garage where the owner of the dealer had his "stuff". I walked in and found a 1985 mustang notchback. It was covered in about an inch of dust and dirt. Seems like it was sitting there for a while, tires were flat, spider webbs you name it! So i asked my friend who was the lead sales guy whos it was. He told me it had been sitting there since 91! it was a 4cylinder automatic with 63,000 miles. Years went by and i forgot about it. Until this fall i was talking to a buddy of mine about his 82 notchback he just picked up to do a 347 swap. I made a quick phone call and the car was mine. 400 dollars later i have myself a sweet project! Im only 21 and i have many many projects going on so i hope i can finish this one!

This is where it sat from 89 till fall of 2009.

haha, i didnt really know what i was getting into with this build. I.e brakes, coil springs, rear end, tranny etc. But i had my 89 gt that i crashed so it made life easier...NOW WHAT COLOR SHOULD IT BE!? I have been losing sleep the past few night trying to come up with a color. First it was going to be a white pearl with a blue or purple flake...But then i was thinking of a metallic navy blue...:nice::notnice:

a well done white coupe looks awesome IMO, no reason to change the color! brakes should be expected on a car that has sat for that long, and if you are going to swap in a V8 you should upgrade them for sure. the other stuff, hit or miss, but it will look great with a set of lowering springs.

Took me 3 months to come up with a color that I liked. Search the interweb for pics and colors. The 3 best colors to hide any flaws if you have them are white red and yellow. If its perfect go with a darker color to make it stand out. I finally settled on Deep Jewel Green. Thought about 2005 True Blue. My brother has a Harley edition f250 in true blue with silver ghost flames that looks sick.
You'll change your mind 47 times before you settle but its fun experimenting.
Good luck:nice:

1987GT thanks for the advice. I have SOOO many colors in mind. White with pearl, Copper metallic orange, Black, But the one i think im going with is my girls 2000 jeep grand cherokee color. Its like a rich navy blue with a nice pearl to it. And i just need to stick with it. My interior is the 4cylinder blue cloth. So you cant get away with much. Ill upload some more pics tonight. :D
