I really hate mustangs

The only Mustangs I like are the 1964-1/2 through 2011+ models. The rest of them suck and are ugly.

I've even softened up a little on the IIs lately, although they're still a long ways off from from the rest of the herd and there's a lot of other mid-70's cars I'd want before one of those.

I'd certainly be looking at S197s if I needed to replace my GT for some reason. At this point, I'd probably start with the S197 GTs and if I was looking at older cars than that, it'd be Mach1s and Cobras and maybe a GT if it was a convertible.

I like the 4.6 96-2004, not b/c of the body style, b/c of the engine. Theres a reason the mod motor is dependable. Chryslter likes to change power plants like underwear, thus, not being able to weed out all of the bugs. At least w/our mod motors we know to what expect and not to expect b/c of how long they went w/the 4.6 2v and or 4v. I wouldn't go and buy the 5.0 b/c the car is still "wet behind the ears" and it would really, really, piss me off if I had to keep going back to the dealership for non-continuity issues. The 2005 and body styles are o.k., if you dig the Neo-retro. A contradiction in terms, I know. At least for is making the 2010 bodies tighter than there body counterparts. But to me the Aero has the slickest, a very, very, close second is the New Age.

Odd how it is for me...I do love all Mustangs, even the IIs (I owned 2 of 'em and still have one). I'm not crazy about the Fox-bodies, they just seem too plain.

As far as other late-models go, I fell in love with the '94 when it first came out. Maybe that had something to do with the same year I started driving. I wanted a '94 so bad. So I obviously started liking the aeros. When the New Edge design came out, I wasn't crazy about it at first. Thought it was the least Mustang-related design of all Mustangs. But, it grew on me...especially starting in 2001 when they started putting the scoops and different spoiler on. I ended up owning 2 of those too...a '99 V6 coupe (now gone...dad used it as a trade for his '05 Explorer) and my current '03. And the aeros just seemed boring to me.

When the S197s came around, I was excited to see them...I actually wanted to get an '05 when they were going to be available but I caved and bought my '03 instead (couldn't wait the 2 extra years I guess). I really liked the S197s. Then when I started seeing the 2010s, the '05-'09s just started seeming too bland...and now that the new engines are going in the '11s...wow. I'd love to be able to get a 2011 GT.

I was a big 96-98 fan but now just am in lust with the 10+ cars. Drove a GT when they first came out and loved everything about it even though everyone was raggin on the plastic trim outside. Now with the 5.0 coming out shortly I will be hard pressed to keep my Mark and not go find a new GT.

I like all Mustangs...and love some ;)

but I prefer the smaller ones over the larger ones...and even though I loved my 70 Mach1, and seriously lusted after a 70 BOSS, the 69/70 is about as big as I can go with...

if I had to pick my one favorite it'd be a 66 289 fastback, even though they were far from the fastest Mustangs. They are the perfect size :)

the 05-09 would be near the bottom of my list and the 2010+ is by a long way my least favorite Mustang ever; too big and the rear is TOO UGLY! that 10+ rear is the worst looking view of any Mustang ever

I love the 05-09, I did not like them when they first came out but they grew on me, and now I really like them. The only body style I dont care much for is the 94-98, I dont hate them, but they are at the bottom of my list. I really love the fox body!

the 2010 is so bad ass my buddy just bought a white hardtop, painted the plastic trip at the bottom to match and put on some saleen wheels and it looks really really sick, another one of my buddies has a 2007 roush also white and i just cant stand how ugly it looks, its like ford just put it out without really thinking it through.

Is he in Livonia by chance? I see one just like this, and yes, it is sick!

99-04 will forever be remembered as the newest Mustang before the retro phase kicked in.

I absolutely love the s197s tho, the interior is wow. As for foxes, I have mad respect for a clean Fox car, but Ive owned two (86 and an 89, both 5.0/T5) and they just aren't my flavor.

Perhaps I am a bit biased tho. 99up SN's are the car I can relate to, because I can remember when the bodystyle was first unveiled when I was younger, and all I can think about was that I hoped to own one someday. Now I own one even nicer than the first 99 up I seen haha.

WOW. This pretty much sums up my feelings. I remember 12 years ago seeing my first Spring Edition 99 GT and asking my dad what car it was (I was a big Mustang fan but didnt have the internet at that time and didnt know about the New Edges).

When he replied, "Thats a Mustang son", I instantly feel in love. :flag:

Haha glad someone else feels the same. It's just the generation of Pony cars that i grew up with. With as much time, effort, and money I have in her now, I'm pretty attached. I'd like to go out in my garage when I'm 45 years old and pull the car cover off of it and say "Son, when I was your age, this was what it was all about..." :D

Oh what i would do for a 66 fastback, a black one with gold stripes like the Hertz Edition. my favorite automobile in existence. Maybe one day.......
