problems with mil eliminators

hey guys i know not many people fool with the mil eliminators any more but i had bought some for our 96 cobra 6 or 7 years ago and as soon as i plugged them in basicly my light came right back on but at the time my county didnt require emissions tests but a few years later they do so off with the off road h-pipe and back on with the stock h-pipe and there goes that beautiful 4.6 flowmaster sound! so 6 or 7 years later i had been considering a tuner for the car and just turning off the rear o2's but man those tuners are like 400 bucks anyway i started researching the homemade mil eliminators, and decided to disect my $60 bbk eliminators and make my own and low and behold to my suprise one of the high dollar BBK's was wired wrong they had the resistor on the black wire and the capacitor wired in line on the grey wire totally opposite what its supposed to be so i proceeded with making my on with $2 worth of radio shack parts, long story short put off road h-pipie back on with my mil eliminators and 40 miles later took it to the dmv to have it inspected because it has been parked for a while and it was expired and the light has stayed off and it passed full emissions tests and i am just happy as hell! so i just wonder if alot of the problems that people have with these things was because of being wired wrong from the factory, like i said i know people dont really go this route anymore but if your trying to save some $$ its well worth the effort and man the sound is unbeatable! :D

MIl elim are a waste of time and money >
if you take two anti-plug foul plugs drill them out and screw them in to where to o2's go them put your o2's in them > you won't get a CEl and it only cost you 3-4 bucks and five min's
I did this to my cobra year before last and never had a problem >

yea i know wht your talking about with the plug non-foulers i actually considered doing that if these didnt work i had researched that and seen a couple of sites where people had put them on but i got mixed results on them to seemed like they were like mil eliminators, some worked some didnt, a friend of mine just got his off road h-pipe today as matter of fact and i told him to go buy the plug non-foulers and were going to try them in his and see how they do, but they where a bit more pricey than my home made mil elims. a whopping $9 compared to my $3 haha! i will let ya know how they do though, one question about the foulers though, they had short ones and long ones which did you use in yours?
