forgive the newbie question...I have been a sn95 and fox body 5.0 guy for awhile, then I was outta the game for a few years, and last week the wifey finally let me get back in. I bought an '02 GT. I was wodering, what all has to be done to make an o/r x pipe work properly on these cars (no check engine light, no screwy a/f ratio whatever, seriously, complete newb to the mod motor! lol, so I need all the info).

i bought my 2000 GT stock and swapped out the stock mid pipe for a Pypes o/r X pipe. to my surprise, the check engine light didnt come on. its been on for several months and still hasnt tripped it

maybe the bulb in the dash is out :rlaugh:

apparently, MIL eliminators have been outlawed and are no longer produced, or so sayeth the guy at the performance parts store..he says, handheld programming is the only way...

LOL! I have come across more people who work in auto parts stores that have absolutely no idea what they're talking about when it comes to cars than ANYWHERE else. I've met more people who know a lot about cars working at McDonalds then in an auto parts store.

They guy you talked to is an idiot

Mustang Plug-in MIL Eliminators at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

96-04 Mustang 4.6L V8 Or 3.8L V6 Mil Eliminators O2 Simulators at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

I figured this was crap. I know this guy and he has a history of being sly to get every last penny out of you. The handheld programmer must be the more expensive route, thus the route he wants me to take... Why has honesty left the human race?? Thanks for your help guys!

All you need is a set of MIL Eliminators and you will not get a check engine light.
Although I would refrain from purchasing parts from American Muscle as their
management is extremely rude and obnoxious.

I hope you have some concrete proof to back up your claims.

I ordered my wheels from AM and are very pleased with there service. I got my wheels in 3 days exactly like they said, and kept me informed from order to shipping, so don't down them because you made yourself have a bad experiance, they were roude and obnoxiuos because you were first. Next be nice and you'll get the respect you need

Thats nice. Everyone else here will go on and continue doing business with them :)
That's nice I know I will never buy anything from American Muscle.
American Muscle management needs to learn what good customer
service is.I would rather pay more than give American Muscle my
business.Just because they are a vendor here doesn't mean I have
to give them my business.
Nightfire change your avatar it's quite lame and other people seem
to agree too! :rlaugh:

It was most likely a situation in which you screwed up and insisted the blame lie with them. In all honesty, I couldn't care less what the circumstances of your situation was and I couldn't care less if they were a vendor or not.

So a search on "anyone dealt with BuyFordRacing.com" and come back and tell me that AM "needs to learn what good customer service is".

Bottom line is that EVERYONE is going to have a bad experience with a certain company (whatever it may be). When it comes to part vendors, there is no business with a better reputation than AM and LatemodelRestoration.com. There is no comparison between these two companies and the rest of the market.....at all.
