I just replaced my dizzy now I have a slight idle surge. It surges up and down about 300 rpm, what would cause this? The new dizzy went in the same position that it came out.

I had to put a new distributor in my car a few weeks ago and the idle is all out of whack now. I mean, it never idled well in the 3 years I've owned the car, but it's worse now. A lot of times it won't idle. I haven't looked into though yet.

That doesn't guarantee that the timing's correct though. A surging idle is typical of overadvanced timing so you'd be well advised to check it.
