Has anyone out there converted a 5.0 auto to a tremec 3550? if so is there anything i should be aware of, and what is the best way to mount the clutch pedal?

I had a shop convert my '90 AOD to a 3550. I know it requires a different bellhousing than a T5, and I want to say the input shaft is a different length (maybe I'm wrong here). As far as mounting the pedals, I think it is pretty the same as doing any AOD to manual conversion (cable clutch). You will likely need a firewall spacer to get the action right, though.
For the pedals, just pedals from a stick can and swap them in. They bolt right up. No spacers needed and the correct wiring is tucked up under the dash
