A buddy and I are hanging out and we go for a beer run. Leaving the store I cut out on a back street and and right before the turn onto US19, There is a manhole cover that is placed into the road vertically, but at such and angle due to the crowning of the road that the edge sticks up roughly 3 to 4 inches.

Keep in mind my car is lowered and the SLP exhaust is hanging slightly. I hit it on the passenger side because I saw it on the last second and tried to straddle it, but it didn't work. I pulled the muffler back off the clamp on the flowtube and smashed it against the rearend and sway bar. But, the only bent pieces where the passenger muffler and over axle hump...

Needless to say, I am looking for a new catback..:(

Bummer. I had a similar experience about a month ago. I ran over a piece of concrete left in the road by the DOT. It hit the fuel tank and ruined the tank, pump, and pump sending unit. Was a real bummer and cost a pretty penny to fix, too. I just got it fixed last night, and man, it is really fun driving your car again for the first time in a month.

Hope you get yours fixed soon.

And my neighbors did at 545 this morning on my way to work and at 1030 tonight when I got home. And they get to here it tomorrow too.

I have Magnaflow's on the way. The driver muffler tailpipe and tip are all good, as are the pass. flowtube and tips so if anyone is interested LMK.

Hey Josh, sorry to hear that. That's really f'ed up.
(Parts vultures swarming...) Did you say you have A PAIR of tips available for sale? Are they 2.5" weld on or clamp on?
My son needs a pair for his 92 5.0 LX Vert. LMK...
Thanks!
Chris

Thanks, why, yes I do. I'll PM you the details...

It was right by Total Wine there on 580. We turned out the side street to cut out to US19 (street that comes out to the on ramp to US19 right by the Lexus dealer.

I have the Magnaflows on order, I just don't want to be dragging the SLP's in case something else wants to hit them.
