not sure on the automatics, but i do know older Fords got one from the trans to intake. There is a vacuum tree on the firewall to the left of the brake master cylinder (as you are looking at it from the front of the car) that supplys most everything, check and see if a line is missing there.

your car will wait forever to upshift when the vacuum line is disconnected... the lack of vacuum to the modulator on the trans will fake the trans into believing you want full throttle (4500-5000rpm) upshifts.

as for where the vacuum line is, theres a vacuum distribution block on the firewall not far from the power brake booster. the transmission vacuum line connects to it, as does ones for the power brakes, speed control, and HVAC, as well as egr.

... Hi, I am trying to find schematics for my mustang. A vacuum line...
---I'd be willing to bet that if you looked for the correct phrase, you'd be able to find what you need in Google Images. You're looking for a diagram, not a schematic... unless you really want a drawing that requires studying a symbol key to be able to read... lol. Schematic also won't show you trace of wires or lines, the whole reason behind schematics was to save on drawing time by eliminating lines.

---So, try a search for 1990 Mustang Vacuum Diagram and I promise you better results. If I find one, I'll host & post for you, but I am about to hit the sack, and that takes precedence tonight cause I have been beating myself up lately, workin' in the cold on multiple vehicles and such... still haven't finished my bathroom either... anyone have any extra 4" plastic convoluted tubing (AKA flexible gutter/drain pipe) they've snipped from a roll to use as an exhaust tube for the shop? LOL.
