transmission crossmember troubles

Heres a brain buster. I have the crappy headman headers installed in my ii (after much persuading with a sledge and a torch). Now the passenger side header outlet sits above the the transmission crossmember about an inch. Im sure the beating on the headers didnt help matters any. I have a double hump crossmember already. How hard would it be to make a crossmember(material etc.) Theres a ton of room to make the humps taller. Any ideas?

I made one for my T-5 and I have the headman headers....You need a photo?

If you only want to make the humps taller, you can make a cut on each side of the hump and extend them upward with 3/16" thick plate or flat bar. Be sure to tack weld it in place and check the fit before welding it solid.
