Hey, everyone. I think the time has come to replace my stock speakers, the rear ones are starting to make a lot of static (I guess that's what you would expect from 20 year old speakers). So I'm just wondering what all of you guys have in your Stangs, the cost, and how happy you are with them. I'm not looking for anything fancy or expensive, just a simple, affordable set of speakers that will sound good. Thanks.

BTW: My car is a '91 LX hatchback with 6 speakers.

my old 91 had kenwood in the rear, Rockford and Sony in the front. but I figure if you have a loud car just get any speakers. but that's just me I guess. not much of a bumpin it kinda guy.

Boston Acoustic Front 3.5" speakers
Rears are CHEAP Alpines from Best Buy
Doors are Cheap Alpines From Best Buy

Works great for a budget most important speakers are then front ones and the rear ones doors you can do with out the Boston ones are the nuts though

Crutchfield's pricing SUCKS.

Car Audio Stereo - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers is hands down the best car audio site online. Insane prices, very fast (usually free) shipping, great service. They beat Crutchfield by a mile.

and to answer your question I'm running Boston Acoustics 3.5" dash speakers with MB Quart 6.5" and 6x8" component setups in the doors and rear with a ****ty 10" sony sub in a box I built all powered by a powerbass 5 channel amp and it sounds great. Fairly cheap setup and it really sounds nice.
