woah, isn't A9L for the 5.0? It is an excellent tune and computer for the 5.0, but won't even come close to working on your 2.3.
The LA3 is a 2.3 turbo computer, so yes, it would work but it won't have an ideal NA tune. I ran one on my NA 2.3 for several years before going turbo, and got along ok. It still isn't a proper tune, but there are more options to tune it (tweecer, quarter horse, ect). Also, the turbo computer uses a VAM (basically a door in the airflow path) instead of a standard MAF which would be a hot wire. The VAM will add restriction.
You might want to consider a 91-93 mustang ranger computer, but you'll have to do some rewiring and playing around with the timing arrangement to make it work. Honestly, way more trouble than it is worth
Anyway, why do you need mass air? It really isn't going to add a bunch of magic power or driveability.
