Got the 315s mounted from that Falken sale on Vulcan

The BFG's were really torn up on the sidewall from fender contact so I finally went ahead and put these on. They don't look as wide as I expected 315s to. Guess that's good in a way though. Traction seems to be pretty decent, still spinning into 2nd though :(

315/30/18 on a 10" wheel. Not bad for $80 each shipped! :nice:

I'm pretty impressed with the iPhone 4's camera :) Just picked up a Verizon one a couple weeks ago

Looks good man. Yeah, doesn't look quite as big as I would've pictured either but still looks great. :nice:

I remember that sale. I had JUST bought my tires and was kicking myself in the ass for missing it.

Thanks. Yeah I was pretty excited as I knew I would be due for new rubber soon, and I'm currently unemployed. Worked out really well.

Too bad the sidewall height isn't higher. I think 295/35's look perfect on 18x10" wheels because the sidewall height is money.

Yeah that's the only downside. I had 295/35/18s before this. However, the smaller sidewall might give me a little more clearance to avoid contacting the fender again. Put some pretty nasty grooves in my BFGs' sidewalls.

Looks good man...I have a set of these sitting in my room (got the deal too)...do you have any side pics? I'm a little concerned about the sidewall as well...I'm gonna have to go aggressive with my front tires to match the rear sidewall.

I'm getting into my fenders too. Have you tried anything to get some more clearance? I tried to roll them but the way mine are the roller wouldn't work in some areas where there was another layer of metal. Is anyone elses like that?

I will get a side pic tomorrow. I pulled out a tire calculator a while back and it looked like the rear sidewall was the same as my front 275/35/18s so I'm not too concerned. Just doesn't look as good with a little more fender gap. But as mentioned, it's probably for the best when talking about fender damage.

No I haven't done anything except avoid putting people in the back seat and being very careful over bumps. It sucks, its either my headers or my tires. If I hit something at an angle it pushes one side of the car towards the fender. If I hit it head on my heads want to drag.

Edit - Found this in the meantime. Maybe someone can brighten it up so that you can actually see the tire haha

Assuming the sidewall height is in fact very similar between 275/35/18 and 315/30/18 here is what my fronts look like...with the 295s on the rear
