Bigger heads, better intake, bigger cam, all of that would make for an angry little 306. or you could just throw a blower on it the way it sits. Either route and you will probably need to replace the injectors with bigger ones

If you stay n/a, keep the 24s, but you may need more pressure to make it work. You'll save money, but you might run a little rich down low without a retune.

Couple things you didn't mention which are great bang for the buck: MAF - I recommend Pro-M if your car is an '89 or later mustang, and I didn't see underdrive pullies (March makes good products here, don't use the alternator pulley if you're still running the stock 75-amp one.

Oh yeah, I didn't see the tornado, either ;)

Anyway, that's a decent intake, but you can probably free up another 50hp in a swap to a premium set of heads like TFS TWs or AFR165s. The E-cam is not bad, but it's probably still costing 15-20ish hp over a custom.

Good luck,

Chris

Oh yeah, probably the biggest bang for your buck right now is Drag Radials. That'll cut .2-.3 off of your short times and probably closer to .5 seconds at the 1/4 mile.

Not sure on the MAF, and not really sure how to check. I have herd of a speed density system also not sure if i have that. Honestly not familiar with that stuff at all. Underdrive pullies i plan on using the bbk underdrive pulley kit.

Take a look at #s 12 and 13. That's your MAF. Take a look at it and see what it looks like on top of the black plastic sensor unit. If you see "Pro-Flow" or "Pro-M" on it, it's a good aftermarket one. If not, it's likely stock. However, I think C&L made use of the stock sensor from Ford.

Hey thanks a lot for that diagram i saved it, it is really helpful i appreciate u showing me that. I just checked the MAF and yup its stock.

I'd recheck your injectors.
A stock maf won't work right with 24lb injectors.
Are the injectors blue?

As far as more performance, add either twisted wedge heads or afr 165's.
Coupled with the right injectors and meter you are probably looking at about a 40rwhp gain.

I second that... stock MAF's are calibrated for 19# injectors. Also that 70mm throttle body isn't helping as much as it could when it's behind a 55mm ( i think thats what stock is) MAF.

24# are blue tops
19# are yellow tops

With that setup just replacing the maf with the tube will give you instant hp. Not dramatic of course but from stock yes. Recommend cl with the matching of injectors. I learned the hard way when I had an extra cl parts after bigger injectors. But yea gears, radials, maf and you'll be pleasantly surprised. .2 to .4 off quarter
