A 94-04 4.0 -- Good First Car?

I am looking in to cars that'll be good for my first car. I have been learning how to drive manual, and I have driven automatic mainly. Would a 4.0 Mustang be a good and reliable first car for me?

It could be (a V6, manual that is). I'd stick to the new edge, as it'll be a little more refined, and a little better performance from the 6, rather than a 94-98. Buy as new as you can afford.

Overall, you'll be buying a fairly reliable, good looking, decent performing car that you can do some suspension and appearance mods to make the car "yours". You're not going to build a world-dominator without some SERIOUS money, but it will absolutely make a great first car. Relatively good mileage and relatively reasonable insurance premiums, so it should be fairly inexpensive to operate too. Good luck!

I would say sure if you are not in an area with snow. but if you live somewhere it snows then probably not. I started out with a 4 cyl fox body for a couple years and I did ok but I was saved by nothing more than dumb luck a few times. maybe more than a few times, lol.

With some all season tires you could do okay in the snow, but still not great.
