I'm in the middle of my conversion, and i have a few questions.

Its a 91 5.0 and was an auto car, my question is how am I to run the clutch cable? Ive read up people switching the throttle cable around with the clutch cable. I just wanted to make sure this is accurate. I havent installed the new pedals yet. Ive been avoiding it haha.

Also what electrical will i have to modify? Reverse lights etc? Just pretty much all the misc stuff to make it right.

Thanks in advance,

There's a plug in the firewall where the cable goes through. It goes straight off the quadrant and out the hole, mounts to the inner fender on the driver side (should fall right into place, and the hole for the mounting bolt is there), then wrap around back to the clutch fork.

On the AOD cars, the speedo cable goes through the clutch cable hole. A few inches towards the pass side is a hole with a grommet. You gotta move the speedo cable there, and then route the clutch cable though that hole. You'll need to drill a starter hole for the mounting screw.

No wiring needs to be modified..all plug and play.

Under th dash, you need to find the two plugs that plug into the clutch safety switch. Remove the jumper in one...and plug both into the clutch switch.

Under the car, unplug the vss and the trans harness from the AOD. You'll need a reverse light harness for the 5-spd. Its about 1'foot long and connects to the reverse sensor. Plug that into the body harness, and plug the vss in.

The NSS on the t-5 will hang disconnected. The AOD body harness does not have the plug for it, but as long as you run the AOD computer, you'll be fine.

If you ever swap to a 5-spd computer one day, there are two harness you'll need to change. The o2 harness and the transmission body harness

When removing the pedals what bolts am i removing?

When you remove the pedals your removing the 4 nuts that hold the brake booster to the firewall...and if you change the throttle pedal its just 2 nuts that are holding the pedal to the firewall. Take the whole steering column out its just one more bolt and if your a larger guy like myself, life will be so much easier.

I thought i had to remove the bolt that holds the pedal to the bar and go piece by piece. Alls it is was those 4 bolts and the brake and clutch pedal asembly comes down?

yessir just those four bolts and 2 of the bolts holding the column that you already removed hold that whole brake pedal assembly in place then you just swap the new assembly, with the clutch pedal right into the originals place. it may take a little bit of yanking but it'll come out.

This link is the one I used. I found it when I did mine and it will probably help you also. I got to thank Jaswir for posting it.
