351w Aluminum T oil pan ?

Hi I am just wondering if anyone here has one or would know if this vintage style cast aluminum T oil pan from scott drake would fit on a 4 bolt main w block?.

I just got a new 428Maxx short block setup from FPS for old mustang 4 valve head project which has 4 bolt caps on front and back and I allready ordered this pan with out thinking if it will clear the 4 bolt end caps.

as long as teh pan is designed for the 351w block, it doesnt matter whether it is a two or four bolt main block, it will fit.

I thought the pan looked wide enough at the back but, just not sure. I guess I will find out when it comes in if I have to mod it.

The 4 bolt main could definitely be a problem. Those pans are pretty damn thick. It depends where they added the material though. Probably on the outside. Should have enough material there to clearance it though. Make sure to check it really well. They fit like ass. Took me 3 hours to clearance one to fit a windage tray.

Just an update, I got this cast pan in, imo, it is REALY! nice, thick, great heat sink for oil but it wont fit a 4 bolt main with out mods, side of pan touches#3 main on outer edge of cap, must mod. It also touches the outer rear edge of rear cap, must mod. Nice oil pan though.

well that is what trial fitting is for.

first figure out how much you will need to grind off either the main cap, the pan, or both. then use a dremel grinder to shave just enough for clearance. i would grind on the main cap rather than the pan especially if you have just a small amount to take off.
