Anyone know what tooth gear I need for a 4:10 rearend .. When I am doing 75 mph down the highway it says I am doing 110 .. LOL ..

go to late model resto web site. They have a chart there.they also sell the gear for $10.

Wow ... 10 bucks ... I just went to the Ford dealer and asked them how much the speedo gear set was and they gave me a price of 124.00 ...

What trans are your running? If T5, what year? The internal drive gear tooth count determines what driven gear you need.

$124 is way too steep for a gear. They were probably trying to sell you the entire VSS. All you need is the gear that goes on it. Know that if you have a pre-90 mustang, (or something like that) you will never get true MPH out of your speedo. Mine is close with 3.73s, and I paid $3.25 for the gear at ford. Find out what tooth you need, and ask them for one. (worst case you'd need to file down the tip a little like i did) Good Luck!
