Just did this. You will need:
engine & transmission
Transmission harness
MAF harness from late '92 or '93 (look for fuel pump relay on fender apron)
fuel lines-ALL of them except the line from the filter to tank.
fuel pump (good idea but not entirely necessary)
MAF from V8
intake tubing
ALL exhaust parts-heads to bumper, everything.
throttle & cruise control cables
upper & lower intake manifolds
all vacuum hoses and lines from V8 car
Vacuum reservoir
all pulleys and brackets + belt
fuel rails, regulator
fuel injector harness
A/C clutch harness
headlight harness
A/C comrpessor
A/C lines-all except the one from evap to condensor
alternator (best to go 3G)
vacuum tree
correct BAP sensor
clutch (if using a T5)
clutch cable (best to go with new one)
ACT sensor
ECT sensor-can be reused from 4 cyl
TPS-can be reused from 4 cyl
IAC-can be reused from 4 cyl
O2 sensors-can't be reused and you'll need 2 of them
O2 sensor harness
distributor from V8
fan shroud and fan
upper & lower radiator hoses
bypass hose
water hose from pump to hard line
water lines that run down the intake manifold
hoses from hard lines to heater
heater hose restrictor
that's the basic stuff...if you're going to do it correctly, you'll also need:
GT or LX-V8 cluster
8.8 rear
front spindles
front discs
front calipers
master cylinder
booster
front flex brake lines
brake line from m/c to rear end
rack & pinion
V8 K-member (wider than 4 cyl K)
Obviously if the swap was going to be a carbureted engine some of teh stuff would not be necessary (injection, regulator, etc).
I'm sure I'm missing a few things. Please feel free to add to the list.
Tons of information out there for swap parts, however, some of the information has been merged into ONE thread, which covers all '87 through '93 year models, and is sometimes hard to read through. I wish there were a thread that entails each year model separately as opposed to including ALL 6 year models into a single thread. Those single threads also include arguements about which brakes are better, which MC to use, which K member to use, carb swaps and injection swaps, and a ton of other stuff that really makes the thread hard to follow. A simple list would be the best-similar to what I just posted above.
