First time drag racer

Its way harder then it looks!! Best run was a 12.4 at 114 mph. Car ran perfect but stock tires are a joke. The power is very impressive once the car hooks up but that was more then half way down the track. Everyone I met at the Cecil County was very cool and had some good tips for me. I can honesty say the car is faster then me. Cant wait to try again some day, until then any one that can get a street car below 12 seconds on street tires clearly knows what they are doing. ( 2012 gtcs 5.0 stage two procharger)

Are you saying your car has a procharger on it now?

Delaware, Yea stage two procharger. Everything else bone stock.

Woah. You definitely need better tires & suspension!!

What's the horsepower? Man u should b in thr 11's with that procharger. More seat time and some tires will help a bunch

Pro charger says +180hp on stage two. It pulls like a demon once tires find their grip. As far as drag racing,I will not quit my day job but it was fun to try. Next will be tires, and suspension. Has anyone tried Michelin ps2 all sumer performance? At 300.00 per tire not sure if they will sick any better then the stock Nero Pirelli.

Sounds like a plan. Swing by the Vendors Forums and we can get you set up on the suspension. As for the tires, I've got a set of Nitto NT05s on my S197 and they are a nice all-around tire... but R-compound tires would be a little nicer at your power level.
