An easy way to upgrade your stock Fox Seats:

OK, thanks for the info. I bought my last foam and tweed kit from FMR. I'll check with them first.

However, I will be price shopping all those company's.

I'm curious to see how these new style foam and material kits compare in price to the original stock kits.

If the price is "ugly" I'm just gonna stick to the stock kits.

Well there you go guys! CJ Pony to the rescue! Thanks Steve!

As for a custom sport seat for the SN95's, we will be offering the Bullitt / Mach 1 / SVT Cobra seat upholstery and foam. The foam for those seats is very highly bolstered and aggressive, and thankfully, it will bolt right up to either your SN95 standard or GT Frames for a quick upgrade!

Once we get all of our patterns finished I'll post up the details!

Good deal :nice:

I have a set of standard '69 Mustang seats with head rests. I had intended to recover and install them in my '66 coupe w/ standard interior. '69 seats have vertical stitching while '66 has horizontal so that kinda killed the project. Then I thought maybe I could recover the 69 seats with the 66 upholstery so it would look correct for the year, but my question is will the seat upholstery for a '66 front seat fit on a '69 frame and foam? Preliminary measurements look like they will but I wanted ask the pros. The other option would be to redo the back seat to match the '69 front seats, but I don't know if a '69 back seat is bigger than the '66. Hope all this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone carry the foam for 94-95 mustang gt seats. The driverside thigh bolster in mine is breaking down.

Yessir - the new foam is now available - as we all know Ford injected the foam directly into the upholstery in the 94-98 models. We took the time to mold out the foam as a separate entity - so just like any Fox or New Edge the foam goes down first - then the upholstery goes over it. So when purchasing our line of SN95 upholstery, you'll also need to purchase the new seat foam as the original will be destroyed when you remove the stock covers.

Are these foams correct for stock 96 Cobra seats?

The only Dealer i have that has these foams posted up on their website is 50 Resto, here is there price:

1994-98 Mustang Seat Foam for Sport Seat by TMI at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

All the external surfaces of my front seats are in great shape, but when you sit in either of them the foam padding in both feels like one would expect a 15 year old seat to feel; i.e. - no longer has any lumbar support and your butt sinks way too far down into what used to be cushiony, supportive foam.

Two questions:
- would the seat foam you referenced above be the correct one to purchase for a 96 Cobra with stock seat?
- since the original foam was glued to the original upholstery, can I still use my original upholstery over new foam since the original upholstery is still in fine shape or is it impossible to cover new foam inserts with the original upholstery?

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!!! Have an awesome day! :)

- Yes absolutely, the GT and the Cobra have the same foam in 94-98 models

- since the original foam was glued to the original upholstery, can I still use my original upholstery over new foam since the original upholstery is still in fine shape or is it impossible to cover new foam inserts with the original upholstery?
- Yes, Ford did us no favors here by actually injecting the foam into the upholstery. The answer made simple is: No. The original foams and upholstery will be ruined upon removal. We remolded the original foam as a separate piece, like any Fox or New Edge seat (Ford must have realized it was an awful idea and went back to the two part slip over seats in 99-04). Our new seats and foam will only work in conjunction with one another - trust me, this was in no way shape or form a choice we made to simply sell more product - the way the original was manufactured they left us no choice but to repattern our own version - the result is a different installation process, but visually they look the same as stock :)

Hope that helps, let me know if you have ANY other questions!

We'll have the seats at SEMA if anyone is going..

THanks,
