Cause they are junk and a MT 255 drag radial would hook up better

Yup.

This is why i asked if the project was motivated by looks.
You can run easy 9's and even 8's on the stock style suspension with tires that fit without narrowing or tubbing the rear on an sn95.
These tires and rims seem like wasted money to me since it's not actually a race car.
Back a few years, my buddy went mid 9's on 17 inch boyds with bfg drag radials on it, and bfg's are nothing compared to a MT drag radial.

IMO, save a ton of money, get the cobra rims for the car, put mt drag radials on them, and be done.

Its been a while but I am finally back working on the cobra. I got the windshield, frond door glass and quarter glass all removed. Now I am finishing up stripping everything out of the engine bay and interior so I can start with the engine bay cleanup and the cage and through floor subframe connectors. I do have bad news as well on this project. Judging from what I have seen I should have probably made the title Operation Second Chance. It appears that the car has been in a minor front end crash but that isn't too big of a deal seeing that it has been repaired correctly. The real kicker is that the roof has been replaced at some point or another. I don't mean the skin but the entire thing. Good news is it looks like it was done right because there is no rust and all of it looks to be repaired good. So here are the pics so far and some of the roof repairs. More to come in a couple days.
