I got some Drilled and Slotted Rotors from Brakemotive in Chicago off of ebay. they had a 99% satisfaction rating from products and a 100% Customer Service rating. they were pretty cheap. Ive read reviews. they came with power stop breaks. some people had warped products and they were returned and replaced easily. I am a daily driver so I dont need super breaks and rotors. I broke them in how it was recommended. pulsating stopped because the residue on the rotors was wiped off. BUT, I have recently started driving more highway. and once I get passed 65 and medium break it reallllllly pulsates badly. and then 80 plus light break makes it pulsate more. and from there back down to 40 it still pulsates after its hot. but normally when the car is cold it does not pulsate when im at 50 and break from there.

Any ideas on what it could be. Ive contacted the seller today to see what it could be and if I can get replacements.

Thank you,
Kyle

If you pedal is pulsating on braking, you are most likely looking at warped rotors. I would assume since the rotors are new that the surface is within specifications. Does the front end shimmy little as well during braking? Usually you can also feel additional vibration in the steering wheel when the rotors are warped.

Did you drive for a bit and set the emergency brake or anything? If the rotors are hot enough and you use the e-brake, it can sometimes cause them to warp.

It is also possible that the rotor you recieved was defective.

I emailed Brakemotive76 this morning about it and they respond this afternoon while I was at work. they said it could be a rise in Zinc plating. I told them I dont get any pulsation under 40. so Im guessing when my rotors get hot it means the zinc coating is doing something wierd to where it causes them to pulsate. Back rotors are fine with no problems. its just the front pair thats bad.

And also the powerstop brakes are actually pretty amazing. not the best as explained by brakemotive. theyre just a better upgrade compared to the stock brakes and rotors for the daily driver and seldom 1/4 mile. not racing. But I wanna see how they do on a road trip to texas this coming spring and also to mammoth lakes in january.

They are gret brakes. I called brakemotive and theyre shipping me new front rotors and brakes. I told them exactly what was happening with full detail. and they told me yes it is warping. they said I should expect them to come in next friday. chicago to california. not too bad.

good deal. seems they are a good company to deal with too. i will have to buy these breaks. just looking for an upgrade myself, not a racing setup at all.
