8.8 rear question

my son has a 92 gt with 8.8 posi 3.73, is there a way to determine what axles are in it 28 or 31 spline without tearing it apart first?? thinkin about getting him c clip elim and a spool,​

You can look at the end of the axle and see if it says ME for Moser or Strange or another brand, but the only way to tell what spline is to pull one out and count them. The c-clip elim has to fit the diameter axle used, there are quite a few different options.

Unless its a drag only car the spool isnt the most street friendly set-up. If you need parts, let me know I give all SN members a discount.

thanks rick , kinda figured the only way would be tear it apart, when it goes back together the next time it will only see very limited street use , what kinds of stuff do you stock ?? our list is growing all the time, we could prob pick up pretty easy we work in the hbg area shouldnt be real far away

I stock some pistons, rings, rods, bearings, an fittings, hose and gaskets but since almost anythig else is custom to what ever project I may be working on I dont stock a lot of hard parts. almost anything is 2 days away and I can usually beat or match Summit, even drop ship to your house
