FOXBODY GRILLE DELETE PICS

HAHA here we go, I dont know if its just me but cowl induction hoods arent called taller hoods JUST for clearance. They allow more air circulation under the hood. I honestly think a cowl hood should have came stock on these cars just because they look weird without one.

I agree this hood is tall but his rear tires are fat too, so I feel like they compliment each other to give it a bad ass stance and look. Makes it stand out. Does every lifted truck driving through the mall parking lot have to go off road? No its a look that people are going for.

Please lets not make this a hood bashing thing, I'm gonna put a 1 ft cowl on mine.

Not all "looks" are something to strive for...

It's your car, do it how you want it. I hear a lot of people say "the LX tails are played out" but I LOVE the LX tails and don't desire the "cobra" tails. So I have LX tails. I still like Cobra R's. I like the sound of Flows on mustangs, so mine has them.

As far as the insert, it looks really good except I don't know about the lip.

Yeah really, I mean that car has no cowl hood at all. What are they thinking?

That car is amazing! Yeah I agree, but I cant see a relation between a tall cowl on a fat tired stang and a donked out notch. One is an obvious fail whereas the other is just personal preference

I like lx tails on a fox, only reason I didnt get them was because i wanted to give the cobras a shot since no one in this area has them, except for a red convo that some woman drives. These cars are so common that anything you do is going to be old news.

there is one I saw in the local area that looked to be an added scoop to the factory hood and was a minimum of a foot tall. That car was special.

You'd be surprised to hear people with cowl hoods that actually see higher engine temps...

Not saying I don't like it, car looks damn good. But cowl hoods aren't for everyone. I like the looks of foxes either way, but the big cowl look kind of makes you assume there's something UNDER the hood that justifies it. I'd have a stock hood on my next fox if I could fit the damn motor under it.

In short, car looks great

Like the car, dont care for the hood. I prefer the smaller cowls as I'm only 6' and doubt I could see over that one unless I drove Ace Ventura style with my head out the window telling Marino 'Thats none of your damn business!'

I'm 6'1 and the last time i was in a car with a 4in hood i couldn't see worth a damn.

6"2 and my old 4" cowl never really got in the way

I guess it's just how you sit but It still ended up making me put my stock hood back on.

FWIW, friend of mine has a 6" cowl that goes to the windshield and I can't see a damn thing out of it

Do you sit with a gangster lean?

Not even close, i sit upright. You can't control a car properly when you are leaned back.

I should rephrase my last statement, with the larger hood i'm not happy with the view, it very well may be because I'm used to seeing more. Whether or not it obstructs the view of what you "need" to see, may be debatable.

I was just messing with you, personally, im about 5'10'' i have no problems with my 3.5 cowl, but if you are not used to it i could see where you are coming from.

WOW I forgot about this post lol, I'm 5'3 boys and have no problems seeing over this puppy, it's called a custom seat bracket haha. No this is not a 9 second car, it is a mid 11 second car that will be racing OSCA in Canada this year! This motor also consist of a Vortech V-7 YS blower huffing 14 psi through a near stock motor, including cam, intake and heads.....it should be pushing 400 at the tire this year.

I think it looks good. Has a nice mean stance. Cowl hoods are not for everyone.. I prefer the ram air hood over all but cowl hoods are pretty sweet as well when they flow with the car. And yours pulls it off pretty damn good.

I run the same hood from HO Fiber trends on my car and love it. My car being black seems to diminish the overall height of the cowl, or it is just balanced by the Saleen whale tail rear spoiler. Either way, i love the look, ignore the nay sayers.
