What Clutch?

For a stock car that won't be boosted anytime soon. Take your pick from the 03/04 Cobra clutch, RAM HDX or Centerforce DF or the Exedy Mach 400 all seem to be dependable for stock power levels. Just run a Ford TOB and Pilot Bearing too. Also, I'd run the MM Aluminum clutch quadrant as well.

I would say the Centerforce DFX. The other stuff looks good, but swap the clutch quadrant for a UPR triple version with the firewall adjuster. It is only about $15 more for the kit and will provide all the adjustment you will ever need. Also, the UPR version has has rounded edges where the clutch cable goes in the quadrant.....it can save some wear on the cable. As for the cable....keep the stock one. If you do need a replacement, get a stock replacement. It is by far the best. I have seen too many "adjustable" clutch cables snap.

I'm a RAM guy. I've run a Powergrip for almost 60k miles both supercharged and NA. I'd pick the HDX over any of those. Although, I hear great things from the Centerforce and Exedy has been in the clutch game for imports forever. I would flip and coin and do some research until you feel comfortable with either.

Stay with the stock cable. I've been there with a UPR cable and it snapped in less than 6 months. Stay with a quadrant that only has one hook. The MM has been engineered perfectly. The Steeda double hook and UPR triple hook each can stretch out a cable prematurely if you have it on the incorrect hook. So, staying with the MM or speed release versions from UPR/MM/Steeda/AM will allow the cable to have the correct amount of slack without overly stretching it out.

There isn't grand difference in prices or pedal feel. Stage 1 or 2 aren't really much of a killer driveabilty-wise. The stock quadrant has been known to explode...I just wouldn't go with the one that has copied everyone else..

OK, I visited American Muscle and ended up spending a lot of money :)
