95 Gt with 92 GT engine did run but doesnt anymore

Ok guys i am in dire need of some help here i recently bought a 95 gt with a 92 gt engine in it, it has aluminum heads and an e303 cam the kid was running 24lb injectors with a 24lb maf then he took the 24# injectors out and put in 19's but left the 24# maf so it ran horribly i drove it 2 and a half hours home with it like that...on the way home it would run great then run like crap...ie surging idle and would sound like it was skipping unless you applied the gas enough to accelerate i got it home and it died...the car just wont run i put a 92 gt maf and 92gt a9l computer in the car but still will not start....any ideas are greatly appreciated...i just want it to run

While visually the same the pin outs on the 95 ecu are different than the pin outs on the a9l. You're confusing engines with electronics. For starters the injector pins are different as well as about 6 other pins. Do you know why he went back to 19# injectors? Try starting with either a MAF from a 95 or put 24# injectors in and go from there.

put the 95 computer back in and set the voltage on my tps to .99 it will start and run but it still idles rough. now when i put it in gear and hit the gas it sputters until you open up the throttle more. any ideas? i did put a 19# maf in the car and i just changed the Air idle control but still the sputtering the kid i bought the car from did an egr delete and i noticed there is just a towel stuffed into the egr valve hole im thinking i can stick an 8mm bolt into it...any idea if that would help the stutter in the engine or am i looking at something else? thanks guys

I'm guessing it's the vacuum connection. I still have a functioning EGR but I seem to recall reading that the ECU still wants a signal from the solenoid. A search should find the reference to a proper EGR delete.

There is NEVER a situation where it's ok to use a towel to block any part of the EGR system. Judging by what has been told to us so far, this car has a lot of things going on. How about a few clear engine bay shots so we can see what you're working with.

Forgot about the pics ill post them tonight or tomorrow am but i do have a new issue i got it to run still ran rough and this morning i shut it off put gas in it paid and when i came out it wouldnt start....acted like it wasnt getting fuel or no spark any ideas? didnt get to check for spark yet cause i was going to work luckily i pushed it back to my house cause the gas station is right arounfd the corner. so yeah what now?
