Hey there new to this forum and new to the mustang scene. Anyway my neighbor is selling his 2000 mustang v6 with 126k miles for 4000$. I checked it out and it seems to be in good condition. Was curious if it is worth buying especially with 126k miles for 4k$ or should I try to get it for less or just forget it. If anyone can tell me there thoughts or opinion would really appreciate it.

I just bought a 2000 Laser Red coupe with 110000 and in wonderful condition for a little more than that. Check on the clutch (if manual), brakes, interior condition, and struts...all the normal stuff. It really just depends on what you want to do with it.

Well I was going to do a little modding nothing to big since its an automatic. Possibly intake and possibly an exhaust but they again it has 126k miles. Only reason im buying it is because I really want to get into the mustang scene, I currently have a 01 civic. But I'm not sure if it's worth

Yea have been looking at mustangs on Craigslist I found a few good ones but was wondering if it is worth it to mod a mustang with 120k miles? When I say mod I mean adding an aftermarket intake, exhaust, suspension.

Adding an exhaust or an intake wont hurt the motor it will free up horsepower and allow the motor to breathe easier. Now adding a supercharger or turbo and running 10lbs of boost on the stock bottom end is asking for trouble. I would offer him $3,500 just to see if he would take it but if its in really clean shape then I would pay $4,000

Well I was thinking for a while maybe till 160k - 175k miles. But I did find a better mustang same miles but 2700$ I'm going to be checking it out tomorrow.

I had a 2008 mustang that I was going to throw the basic mods at. My wife talked me out of it, because she knew I wasn't planning on keeping it. The car was a stop gap till I could get my current GT. I just kept the car in great shape, and saved my money for other things. I loved the car, but there is no way that it can compete with the GT.
