With a little work it'd be almost too nice to part out.
Needs a drivers seat, two fenders and a drivers side door skin.

dayum that is pretty clean little car there. Used to be one of my favorite trans ams. Can't get an abandoned title for it?
I love the car, which I didn't think I would. It needs some parts I'm gonna try and track down.
Going to try that route, although it has an active title now. They left a ton of drugs in the car and I think are weary of claiming it.
Otherwise there's a few other things we'll try. I'd truly like to keep it whole because it's fun to drive but it was bought for a purpose so it's just fine to tear it apart.

HAHA, At least I have you back on the dark side. I am hoping to start my actual build soon on here. Probably this next weekend. I have it sitting back on all fours with the 5 lug conversion on it too. Just waiting for donor to get towed away and more room to be freed up.

I am very jealous that you have a t-56 though. I really dont want the 4l60e but it would be at least 3 times what I paid for the 4l60e to go with a t-56.

Hoping to have about $1500 in the whole drivetrain this time.
I truly enjoyed the th400 but I'd like to build a fun little cruiser. Going to pull and freshen up the LS1 and really take my time on this one. May end up ditching the big/littles for street wheels but they look so damn good IMO.

Trying to figure out if I can use these fbody pedals or if I need to track down turbo coupe pedals.
Hopefully I just need pedals, a fuel pump and another driveshaft to get this thing goin.

I'm sorry.

There, I said that in advance of this:

The wheels look all wrong on that car. The BS/Offset's have the fronts sticking too far outboard, and the rears look like you're trying to emulate some 60's altered wheelbase thing.

If that T/A is resellable, wouldn't it fetch more running, w/ the odds, and ends fixed, and a new drivers' door than it would as a non-running shell?

Wouldn't a notch as nice as the one you now have fetch more as a running, driving ford powered street car as opposed to one w/ a transplanted LS that doesn't have power anything anymore including the AC?

It's one thing when you take a GM truck motor and put it into one of the less popular fox bodies (to include a fairmont)

But....

But to compromise two running cars, both in their own rights nice cars just don' make no sense.

I agree with Mike on both points. I love the wheels but IMO they don't look right on the stang. And I'd fix up the f body and flip it. Unless you got a killer deal or don't care about the cash

The dark stars were bolted to the fox without the correct spacers. Due to the "non-mustang" BS they set too far in. Like they did on the last car. The fronts sit so far out because the whole front suspension is SN95 and therefor wider. Was a risk of trying to use SN arms and spindles. The wheels have been removed.
The TA cannot be titled (or so i was told when purchased). I got an extremely good deal, as its intended to be a parts car. I always care about cash
I'm so confused?! Are you even building a Mustang anymore?
Joe
Just trying out wheels I own on a car I also own

The dark stars were bolted to the fox without the correct spacers in the rear. Due to the "non-mustang" 7.5 BS they set too far in. Like they did on the last car but was easy to correct with a wider car. They don't work on a fox. The fronts sit so far out because the whole front suspension is SN95 and therefor wider. Was a risk of trying to use SN arms and spindles. The wheels have been removed.

I'm sure the notch would be worth the most as a running, driving, power everything 5.0 notch. However that's not what it was when I purchased it and its not my goal to restore every fox that's had the AC removed.
Cars probably an 8/10 in all regards. Had a 7.5 rear with no shocks and the front was a creaky, blown out 4 cyl mess. I know you fly your anti-drag racing flag pretty high these days but those are the parts I had available and in my ever-misguided eyes they were an upgrade over the previous hardware.

The TA cannot be titled (or so i was told when purchased). I am going to briefly pursue a title because its got a ton of potential and would be a nice flip if a clean title could be produced. The drivers door skin has completely separated from the frame, the drivers seat is snapped in half. The hatch struts are blown out, there's a handful of dents in both quarters and it looks like its been keyed at some point. Indecisive and impulsive, I am. An idiot I am not.

Pipe down, nobodies calling you an idiot. ( matter of fact you know what I think of you )

And my reply had nothing to do w/ you building a drag car. (Despite my loathing for drag cars) I was just thinking it's one thing to have a Mustang body w/o a drivetrain, (and you have actually came across, and actually had a make specific drivetrain already)and pulling an LS out of a hagged out JY donor where the body of the car was beyond salvation makes sense,...and I get that the title on the T/A may render the car a candidate for a salvage title,...but.....if you are in love w/ an LS/6speed so much, why not just play with the car that the running combo is currently in? I love an LS-1, and love me a Pontiac,...and that looks like a decent car.

It was the wheels that motivated me to comment. They kinda reminded me of this:

But they look great on the T/A though.;)

I used a smiley, we had a rule!
:fuss:

Truly I still have an itch for a vette. But it's been a messy break-up with mustangs.

I'm not able to title the vehicle at all at this time, but hopefully that's not the final answer. It was abandoned in every sense of the term but still holds an active title a couple states away.
Even with a salvaged title I'd definitely keep it. I've got nearly nothing in it.

Plus I've already started all this weight reduction :D
