Hey all,

I finally got my headliner out for replacement, so while I had the t's off I found out that the seals are in need of replacement. I was trying to find a set of OEM seals but I'm having no luck...

So who makes the best seal out there for the T-Tops, and I was almost thinking about replacing them all while I am at it. Here are the part numbers for the OEM ones if anyone has any better sources than I do, my local dealer was kind enough to give them to me:

37ZZ6154780B
37ZZ6154781B

Thank you for the help...oh yeah 88 GT

LateModel has them, but you're all alone with HOW to replace them. I requested already a "how to" replace them with LMR on you tube but no luck so far. The are not easy to do but T-tops are second to none in my opinion, I had an 87' t-top GT a couple years ago but was too far gone to restore. I will get another when the time comes. Post some pics of your ride!

Thanks for the help, I will check with LMR, I also found a company called Greens that sells obsolete FORD parts so I will give them a try too. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how lol.

Personal experience:

Replacing these seals suck! It's not easy to do and even harder to get a factory looking finished product. The worst part for me was gluing the felt strips in for the front and back of the glass. These only later blew out while going down the track at almost 180 mph... Sure they aren't meant for that but damn was it frustrating. All said and done, the ttops still leak a little. The front corner seals where they meet the window have given me the most trouble. The end result on mine are good enough but not perfect. Patience will be the key here more so than the products that you use. Good luck and if you don't mind document the install for the rest of the group!

Thanks for the heads up, looks like my only source is aftermarket, as Greens doesn't have them. I will do my best to document the install for sure. I wont be going 180 mph, this is just a fun driver for me. Picked it up a few years ago from the original owner only has 50k on it and its clean just needs paint. The headliner fell so that's how this all started. I will order the seal kit from LMR tomorrow and work on it when I feel patient. Lucky for me spring isn't right around the corner.
