Hello everyone! Havent been on here in awhile, due to my mustang being problem free so I guess thats a good thing! but anyways today I'm on the highway and it starts to rain...drivers window doesnt roll up all of a sudden! Always worked perfectly. So then I did some research and tried slamming the door it didnt work...but then after the car sat awhile the window worked problem free! How should I go about diagnosing/fixing this? Thanks! Much appreciated! AC doesnt blow cold so I always ride windows down

The post doesn't say the model year of your car. Will assume this a a 96+.

If looking for an explanation of HOW the windows can work sometimes but not others. Consider that the window circuit is protected by an automatic reset circuit breaker. The window motor itself also as and internal CB to protect the motor.

Soooooooo if the window is binding, this could make the motor draw too much current. The CB will heat up and then trip. After a cool down period the CB resets. Wash/rinse/repeat.

Bottom line, this could be a bad motor or excessive window binding.
