Brake Fluid From Rear Caliper At Parking Cable Bolt??

Just finishing up a 5 lug conversion. Started bleeding the brakes today and found fluid leaking from the parking brake bolt that holds the lever. Parking brake isn't hooked up yet if that matters.

Why?

Wash the caliper up well and see if fluid still leaks from this area. Could just be overspill from hooking it up or bleeding the brakes.

If it is still leaking, then use the caliper as a core and go get a reman. You can get the caliper alone (no pad support bracket) for under $30 plus core off rockauto.com.

I looked at it again and it does appear to be overspill from the bleeder valve.

Do you happen to have a link for the parking brake stuff that needs to be done?

Look up Fords instructions for the M 2300 K kit and it will show the handbrake mods and install.
