I'm thinking I will be fine but just wondering you guys take. The 95 I bought about 6 months ago I have been fiddling around with it here and there fixing some things and the last thing I did was flush it real good and put in a 180 thermostat. It is doing much much better. I just put in straight water just for testing purposes but will put antifreeze in shortly before fall probably. I don't drive the car much at all. Since I have water in the whole system right now and 50/50 mixture is really all you need, especially in SC, I'm thinking I should be fine just draining the radiator and the jug and just filling half the radiator with antifreeze and fill the jug to the hot line with antifreeze. I'm thinking that should provide close to a 50/50 mixture. I have probably ran my other car always sometime around 50/50 or maybe even a little less antifreeze for years with no problems. I do know that too much antifreeze though is not good; too much vs less water that is. The 302 motor will come out probably sometime next year and get sold as I get ready to do my 351.

A 50/50 mixture is generally what's recommended, but it doesn't have to be exact. Some antifreeze is needed to prevent rust and to raise the boiling point and lower the freezing point of the water. Too much antifreeze and there won't be enough water to pull heat from the block. Your reasoning sounds fine to me, and should be good enough to work.

There are cheap tools you can buy that will tell you what your coolant mixture is at. Search for 'antifreeze tester', you can get them for as cheap as $5.

yeah i probably will be ok with as little as 40/60 antifreeze to water here in SC.

Are you interested in a brand new saleen body kit? I have one that came from saleen that I no longer need. Might be willing to trade for parts or things as well

I'm not, but you can always list it on the Classified section of the site.
actually have it listed. Been listed since earlier part of the year :)

I've had my car Saleen cloned since 97. Bought another car and found the same car/same color in Charlotte earlier in the yr when mine got hit in the rear. I had already bought a new Saleen kit to fix mine before I found and bought the car I did. I actually if I had to do it again would probably just build it cobra clone as far as front and rear bumpers. I will price a new cobra front and rear bumper and may try and work a trade with someone or something to just have for down the road. May get a base v6 and convert everything
