    Mustang 2 Front End Conversion?

I just got a 78 mustang 2 car with v-6 motor and power rack and pinion steering, is it possible to remove the cross member and put it under my 65 fastback? And with the mustang 2 being 4 lug wheels, what all will need to be changed to make it 5 lug? I got a great deal on the mustang 2, and if...

78 Mustang 2 Parts Car Maybe?

I`ve been hearing about Mustang 2 front end conversions for years, I finally found a car REALLY cheap, $250, it has a v-6 motor, auto transmission, 4 lug wheels, rack and pinion power steering, and a lazer straight body with no dings at all. I figure worst case I can take the motor and tranny...

Engine 429, I Found 2 Of Them, But I Don`t Know What They Are Worth.

1 is in an old firetruck and the other is being used a pump for the same fire station. What should I offer these guys for these? And the motor being used as the pump, will it be ok for a car? These are good solid running engines and I`d hate to let them get away.

    Mustang 2 Front End Questions.

I`m driving my beast to a car show Saturday morning, and realize...it drives like crap. Being as everything up front is new and the alignment is good, it has me thinking it may be upgrade time. I hear mustang 2 conversions are cost effective and do provide a better quality driving experience...

Hello everyone, I know of at least 3 different manufacturers for 65 pony seat upholstery. TMI obviously has the biggest reputation, but I want to look a little deeper then rep. I probably want a sport seat setup of some sort, and I am curious about some of you guys personal experiences with...

    Front Blinkers Wiring Issue

Having apparently lost my mind and my wiring diagram for my 65, I finally got to the point where I got the front blinkers mounted back on the car. Besides the plug containing the 2 wires thats pretty obvious where it goes, where does the third wire need to go to? I`ll post some pics if need be.

    Installing hood pins

It appears they go where the current hood bumpers are now. I`m curious if when I stick them in the holes where the hood bumpers are now, it looks like they`ll be leaning forward a little. With the hood closing from the direction it swings down from, I`m not sure it`ll work that way, anyway...

Fiberglass hood a little bowed...trying to fix.

I get my hood outta the box from Stangoholics, it looks great, I stick it on the car. Fits fairly well for fiberglass with the exception of where the hood meets the cowl area. It is low in the center where the hood scoop is. I took a peice of cloth and folded it up last night and wedged it...

steel cowl vent covers for a 65.

I know Rusty did this while back in one of his threads. I am wanting to smooth the cowl area by covering it with steel plates and bodyworking them in. I`m curious what I`m getting into. A buddy has a cnc machine, we are testing today to see what thickness of steel (testing 10 gauge to 14...

I hope I made a mistake sanding my car...

I sanded it with 180 grit, epoxy primed, then polyester primer. I guidecoated it, and went to 400 grit, and this guide coat is giving me sore arms trying to get off the car. I`m thinking I shoud have guide coated before the 180 sand, and then just regular sanded after the 2nd polyester coat...

Powdercoating the stainless trim around windows

My window trim (the stainless) looks prettty junky but its all straight. I just talked to a powdercoating shop that can either shadow chrome or just black them out for me for about $5 a running foot. I`ve never tried this but I`m worried about fitment at the joints after its all done. Has anyone...

Car is back from body shop with pretty straight quarters and rockers. I bought new (repop) fenders and doors. I`m on my first polyester primer coat and need to align my doors and fenders so I can sand it correctly. Anyone know a good source or have any information on how to align the doors and...

Car is back from bodyshop finally

He did the qaurters, rockers, and roof. It`s ready for block sanding number 1 with hi build polyester primer on it. I had him weld up the seam between the rocker and quarter panel for a smoother look, I look forward to any comments anyone may have.
