    Too loud for the track!!!

I posted this on SVTP, but just in case some of you guys don't get over there. ---- LOL, I believe I now have definitive proof that my car is way too loud. :D We had a track day for our local SVTOA on saturday out at a local track. They've got sound meters set up around the track so that...

Getting rid of the X-Pipe raspiness! Baffles are the answer!

-I posted this over in the SVT forum, but figured you guys might like to know too.- My car was way way too loud. I've got an M55 3" catback and O/R X and it was really really raspy and really really really incredibly *****ing loud, so loud that I got a ticket for it a couple of weeks ago...

Getting rid of the X-Pipe raspiness! Baffles are the answer!

My car was way way too loud. I've got an M55 3" catback and O/R X and it was really really raspy and really really really incredibly *****ing loud, so loud that I got a ticket for it a couple of weeks ago. After searching around I found the answer in the form of some 3" Bassani baffles. They...

    My latest Edmonton Police encounter.

For your reading enjoyment, this is what happened to me on Friday night on our way home from the gym. This time its a 61(1), loud muffler ticket. It was about 9pm, we were at the intersection of 99th and whyte and turned up 99th on our way home.... got about 6 blocks down 99th when i saw the...

Flowtech X-Pipe -> Will the GT pipe fit the cobra?

My local shop has some flowtech X's in stock, but they're listed as being for the 2V on the GT. I just checked the Dr. Gas site and they've only got one part number for both GT and Cobra so I'm wondering if the Flowtech pipe would fit on my 04? Anybody?

First look at an FRPP M55 catback for 99-04 Cobras.

My FRPP M55 3" catback just came in. I got the M55 for three reasons: 1. Nobody runs it and I wanted something different. 2. Its listed as "will produce significant noise and may be objectionable in some applications." :D 3. It was the least expensive 3" SS system available. Up...

    Help me pick a mid-pipe.

I'm trying out an FRPP M55 catback on my 04 and it should come in some time next week and I'm thinking that I'd like to put the mid-pipe in at the same time. Anybody have a guess what would sound best with this thing? Catted vs O/R, X vs H? My GT had a catted X with packs on it and it wasn't...

EPD is training their rookies, watch out for bad tickets.

Had another fun encounter with our resident "protectors" last night. My wife and I were coming home from the gym in the rain last night and were coming down 97St towards the intersection with 111Av. There was a truck in front of me and a little honda civic with a F&F license plate in the...

High pressure fitting in cobra blew, no P/S, no Brakes.

I posted this in SVT, but hardly anybody reads that, so I figured I might get a better response here. The P/S line in my cobra separate after 5 days on the road, and today I find out that the part needed to fix it is backordered in the US, so it isn't even available in Canada. The damn thing...

HELP! Power steering line blew, what else is damaged?

Last night, 5 days after I picked up the 04, while I was parking the car the power steering line on the driver's side decided it had had enough. The line separated at the connection between the metal tube and the rubber hose and the system drained instantly. On inspection it actually looked like...

    Anybody run an FRPP catback?

I'm looking at the FRPP M5230-M55 3" catback for my 04 cobra. I'm getting a deal from the dealership so its a hell of a lot cheaper than anything else (including MAC) and apparently its very loud. I can't find any sound clips of it, but a guy on corral has it and says its basically a...

MIL Question - Voltage read by ECU keeping car in open loop?

I'm putting an O/R X on my new cobra and just spoke to the guy that does my exhaust work about MILs. He said that they aren't the greatest thing in terms of solving the CEL problem, and after looking into it a bit I have a question regarding the typical MILs that we're getting (Steeda, Dallas...

04 or 06 Cobra? Should be easy right, guess again.

I've got an 02 GT and was planning on trading it in in 06 for a cobra but last night my wife informed me that 2006 is when she'd like for us to have our first child. Now I've got a problem in that I can get an 04 now without any trouble, but if I sit on my butt and wait til the 06s come...
