    Your reasoning is both sound and illustrative of the streetability advantage of a centrifugal blower. Because horsepower and torque build with rpms, you can comfortably drive the car around town at low rpms. But when you need it, you only need to step into it a tiny bit and as Emeril says, "BAM!"
