I am getting the same problem on my 06 convertible. I replaced my shocks with Tokico ones and Steeda springs and it was fine for a while then started to get the noise. If I adjust to a stiffer mode on the Tokico, it isn't as bad but is noticeable. You can hear it especially if you go about 35...

I installed the Steeda sport springs and they only drop the car about 1". I also have the Tokico shocks and struts and they work well. For centering the rear end I used BMR adjustable panhard rod and control arms.

Also have the dealer check the fuel pump. Some early mustangs have had an issue with a defective fuel pump in the tank.

I did mine without the need for a spring compressor. All you need is for the car to be on jack stands and a hydraulic jack. I put the steeda springs on mine with the BMR panhard rod, trailing arms, Tokico shocks and struts.

The kit doesn't come with light bars for the back seats. I didn't really care about that since I have a convertible and the back seats are small anyway. I got mine from the ford dealer for $270 plus tax.
