WOW my 2004 GT makes a squalling / screeching squeeking sound when i drive 20 to 30 min and get the car hot, i does it when i push the clutch in , but i can back off the clutch a little ,and the noise stops, not sure what it is just yet could be a Pilot Bearing or Tob

what to switch too - Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec i use motorcraft 5w20

what would be the speed shut off on a 2004 4.6ltr has anyone gone that fast i was cruzing down 75 @100 mph @2500 rpm in 5th i heard it was like 140 mph, i don't think that would be safe. fast-wreck- kill -medic- court- morgue.:shrug:

gettin water outta scoop man i just lightly push on top of the scoop and it squirts water out from under the scoop. then wiper down.

clean oil too just changed the oil, it's clean i tried what > tprattii < stated it seemed to make a differance so it is looking like a timing chain tensioner seal area, issue

most likely wont be draging on the strip street only

2004 GT mods triax short shifter - going to put a 373 gear soon

hi now i am wondering about Motive lol i found a shop in Cleveland TN, that will put a 355 or 373 Motive gear in for 325.00 labor and all - what else should i have done - axel ect Thanks

Thanks for the input, what about the seals / O ring leaking behind the timing chain tensioners a Tech @ ford told me it might be the seals / o ring leaking the oil down to the crank case, anyone ever heard of this.

1st i did a search and did not find a post (( Clatter - Ticking @ StartUp )) I just bought a 2004 GT with 4.6, 25,000 miles when i first start the engine, i hear a ticking from top of the motor, like the lifters , it goes away when the oil pressure comes up, 1 sec maybe 2 sec u can hear...

nice video thanks. just bought Crimson Red, 5 Speed, GT, Coupe -25,000 miles, Knoxville TN. has a lot of inside issues passanger seatbelt won't work, rear window trim came off, thunk of a noise in the rear right , Ford states it the noise is common. driver seat is bent to the left...
