disconnect the column plug and find the wires that go to the rear turn signal/ brake lights. run a jumper from a hot terminal on your fuse box to the wire that is for the left light, and see if both sides come on. if so your problem is after the turn signal switch, if not, it's more than...

original wiring or aftermarket? i had the same problem when i rewired my car, the new harness i used was set up for separate bulbs for the turn signal and brake light, but since we use the same filament, the left turn signal would send voltage down the brake light wire and would flash both sides.

from looking at the diagrams, you've got your turn signal power coming from the back of the ignition switch into the flasher, then into the column connector on a blue wire, your brake signal is coming from the brake switch on a green wire. the wire coming out of the turn signal switch to the...
